Wilson “Willie” Bishop, 69, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at his residence. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home.
Funeral services are at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Jerusalem Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate the services.
Willie was born April 13, 1954, to Wilson Wayne Bishop, Sr. and Betty Zane Henry Bishop in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi. He was bivocational pastor at Simmons Memorial Baptist Church in Madison County, Mississippi. Willie was a Kosciusko First Baptist Church member before pastoring Simmons Memorial Baptist Church. He worked as a service assistant at Lexus of Jackson.
Wilson is survived by his wife, Cathy Sills Bishop of Kosciusko, Mississippi; son, Jason Bishop of Tupelo, Mississippi; daughter, Morgan Mahan of Kosciusko, Mississippi; son-in-law, Matthew Mahan of Kosciusko, Mississippi; grandchildren, Brody Mahan and Brennan Mahan; mother-in-law, Mary Sills Hodges of Kosciusko, Mississippi and many relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilson Wayne Bishop, Sr. and Betty Zane Henry Bishop, father-in-law Bud Sills, and brother-in-law Gene Sills.
