Willie Eugene "Billy" Myers

September 13, 1925 — November 17, 2015

Mr. Myers was born Sept. 13, 1925 in Zama, to Samuel Freeman and Zettie Kelley Myers. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was assigned to the 63rd Infantry Division, which saw action in France and Germany. He was awarded four battle stars, a Bronze Star, the French La Croix braid, and several other awards. He was a master welder for Chevrolet, and Superior Coach. He then got a great start as a dairy farmer, and did that for many years. He also was a successful contractor, and built many houses. Those surviving him are a son, Rickey (Betty) Myers; two daughters, Linda Myers Nabors, and Patsy Myers (William) Crosby; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Audean Myers Hobson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Zula Hobson Myers; a son, Anthony Lee Myers; a daughter Billie Jean Wilson; grandsons, Joshua Myers Wilson, and Terry Allan Blackstock; sisters, Ludie Simmons, Trudy Cummins, Pearl Goff, Estelle Burdine, and Doris Eubanks; and two brothers, Dewitt Myers, and Leroy Myers. Pallbearers: David Crosby, Rob Howell, Brandon Myers, Tony Myers, Preston Nabors, and Todd Nabors. Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Hill, Johnny Miller, Jason Myers, Jeff Nabors, and Wayne Thompson.
