William Jerry Roberts

William Jerry Roberts, 82, a native of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away on March 4, 2025. Mr. Roberts served our country during the Vietnam War in the Army and Army Reserves until he was honorably discharged, receiving several medals and certificates. He was a retired truck driver and worked for Willie Goss as a security guard for many years.

Jerry is survived by two children, Donna Lynn and Ricky Roberts; daughter-in-law Lesley Roberts; sister Betty Sue Roberts Gardenia; brother Ollis Roberts; stepchildren Brenda McCool, Dwayne McCool, Shirley McCool Ballard (Joe), Patsy McCool, and Marie McCool; a good many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a few great-great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Juanita Sanders Roberts; his parents, Lloyd D. Roberts and Ruby Lee Griffith; his son, Bill Roberts; his sister, Catherine Roberts; his brothers, Charles Roberts and Jackie Roberts; and a stepson, John Newton McCool.

Services for William Jerry Roberts will be held at the Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, and William Jerry Roberts will be laid to rest at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, Mississippi, with service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Wilson, Timothy Carroll, Blake Hill, Cole Breedlove, Carl Land, Tristin Wilson. Jason McCool, Ollis Roberts, and Matt Thornhill will serve as the honorary pallbearers.
