Wardine Flint Cagle Mcdaniel

January 3, 1925 — September 16, 2018

Wardine Flint Cagle McDaniel, a long-time resident of The Heights of North Houston Nursing Facility, passed away Sun., September 16, 2018 with family by her side at the age of 93. She was born January 3, 1925 to Edgar and Ophelia Stone Flint in Ethel, MS. Memorial services will be held at Marvin Chapel in Kosciusko, MS on Sat., October 13 at 10 am with Rev. David Meadows officiating. Burial arrangements will be handled by Jordan Funeral Home at Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Wardine spent most of her career working at Johansen Brothers Shoe Company in Harrisburg, AR. She later moved to Houston, TX, where she was employed at Bush Intercontinental Airport. She loved her job at the airport because she met so many wonderful people, even some who were famous. To be closer to her daughter, Wardine moved to Pampa, TX in 1999, where she became a member of the First Baptist Church of Pampa. She loved dancing, reading and she enjoyed being with her daughters and grandchildren more than anything. She felt blessed to have her family and especially son in-law, Dave. Wardine was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter (Deborah Ann Cagle), husbands (Doyle Cagle and Taylor McDaniel), stepsons (Lamar and Dennis McDaniel), a stepdaughter (Ceda McDaniel) and a grandson (Michael McDaniel). Wardine is survived by two daughters; Linda Cagle Withers, granddaughter Allura Heiberg(James), their daughters Madeleine and Isabel all of Denver, CO and Kay McDaniel Smith(Dave), grandson David Smith(Leslie), their children Parker and Eleanor, grandson Derek Smith, and grandson Jeremy Smith(Jourdan), their children Jillian and Noah, all of Houston, TX, four sisters; Helen Cagle and Belva Cagle of Kosciusko, MS and Billye Shirley and Katherine Sowell of Madison, MS, stepsons; Kenny, Rickie and Ronnie McDaniel of AR, granddaughters; Janna, Carla, Shannon, Alana, Rhonda, Lisa, Kristie, Glenda, Conseaula, and Kim and numerous nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi Chapter, 207 West Jackson St. Suite #1, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
