Virginia Moore Bain

Virginia Elizabeth Moore Bain, 81, of Ethel, died Thursday, February 12, 2015, in Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden. Visitation is Friday, February 13, 2014, 5-8 pm at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services are Saturday at 1:00pm at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Dewitt Bain, Rev. Joseph Bain, and Allen Lee will officiate the services. Virginia was born on September 25, 1933, to Claude and Ella Mae Moore. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Kosciusko. Mrs. Bain is survived by her sons, Dewitt Bain (Brenda) of Mt. Olive, MS; Steve Bain ( Troyce) of Thomastown; her daughter, Beth Burkes (Allen) of Ethel. She was "MawMaw to six grandchildren: Shannon Bain, Brandon Bain, Joseph Bain (Marlena), Jamie May, Jeremy Burkes, and April Lee (Allen). She also had 5 great-grandchildren: Jonathan Bain, Jacob Bain, Wyatt May, Hayden Lee and Garrett Lee. Mrs. Bain is also survived by two sisters: Shelby Wolverton and Byrdean Peoples; and one brother, Jeff Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt "Doc" Bain; her parents; three brothers, Bill Moore, Milton Moore, and Charles Moore; one sister, Mildred Burkes; and one great-granddaughter, Olivia Katherine Lee. Serving as pallbearers are: Allen Burkes, Jeremy Burkes, Brandon Bain, Jonathan Bain, Jacob Bain, and Gerald Barton. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Shiloh Baptist Church.
