Virginia Boyette Griffith

November 19, 1950 — February 9, 2017

Mrs. Virginia Boyette Griffith 66, of Zama, MS passed this life Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Zama with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Dr. Ladell Blanton will officiate the service. Mrs. Griffith was a retired Certified Nurses Assistant with Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia, MS for 19 years. She was also a regular volunteer with the Natchez Trace Visitors Center in Kosciusko, MS following her retirement in 2009 and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She is survived by four children: Sheila Williams and her husband ,Tommy of Cedar Bluff, MS, Joseph Griffith of Philadelphia, MS, Norman Griffith and his wife, Chastity of Plant City, FL and Pamela Edwards and her husband, Gray of Philadelphia, MS; ten grandchildren, Dillon Williams and wife Kaitlyn, Chelsee' Ferris, Zachary Griffith, Tyler Griffith, Justin Griffith, Kara Spears, Kalli Spears, Ashton Edwards, Harley Edwards and Kay-leigh Hill; two great-grandchildren, Macyn Williams and Hadley Williams; one brother, Donald Boyette of Memphis, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Griffith in 1966; her parents, Carmen Douglas and Frances Inez Squires Boyette; and sisters, Carol Watts and Brenda Hobson. Pallbearers: Norman Griffith, Joseph Griffith, Gray Edwards, Dillon Williams, Joe Griffith and Richard Griffith.
