Victor Ervin Gilbert, 61, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 15 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. He was a member of the Kosciusko First Baptist Church. He worked as a rig manager for Rowan in the Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, and served his last six years before retiring in 2016 in Saudi Arabia. He was presently co-owner of The Inside Story in Madison. Survivors include his wife, Leah Rigby Gilbert of Madison; son, Alston Ervin Gilbert of Madison; maternal in-laws, Jimmy and Ina Jones Rigby of Kosciusko; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Anna Holt of Kosciusko; nephew, Mason Holt and finance` Lacey King; niece, Mady Holt; and sister, Denise Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dennis and Betty Lou Alston Gilbert. Memorials may be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Kosciusko First Baptist Church.
