Toxie Herring Alexander

Toxie Herring Alexander, 74, passed away January 14, 2014 at her home. Visitation is Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 12-1 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the North Union Cemetery. Rev. Danny Townsend will officiate. She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church. She was an employee of Regions Bank for 36 years. She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters in English. Survivors include her husband, John Alexander of West; son, Beau Davis and wife, Shonna of Madison; daughters, Karen Davis of Baltimore, MD, Jackie Alexander of Ridgeland, MS, Susan Alexander of Ridgeland, and Judy Davis of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Peyton Herring Davis, Grayson Alexander Davis, both of Madison, MS and three other surviving grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Lott McCaskill of Pascagoula, MS; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Toxie Hall and Alma Leona Pope Herring. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
