Tom Battles

Tommie “Tom” Lee Battles, 87, of Kosciusko passed away at home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Baptist- Memorial Hospital. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 15, 2023, and 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Randy Rhodes is officiating.

Tom was born August 29, 1936, to Leslie Arthur Battles and Oneida Bernice Long Battles in Lepanto, Arkansas. He was a store manager. Tom was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and the V.F.W. He served in the U.S. Army overseas in Korea.

Tom is survived by sons Russell (Tamara) Battles of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Leslie (Cheryl) Battles of Texas; grandchildren Joshua Battles, Dr. Meagan Parsons, James Battles, Justin Battles, and Caitlin Stubbs; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents Leslie Arthur Battles and Oneida Bernice Long Battles; and his wife Jewette Battles.

Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons Josh Battles, Jay Battles, Justin Battles, Dylan Battles, Anthony Stubbs, and William Parsons.
