Thomas Edward Steed

ETHEL, MS Thomas "Red" Steed, age 89, died May 12, 2018 at his residence in Ethel, MS. Mr. Steed was born July 29, 1928 to Edgar and Dona Burchfield Steed. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tony Black officiating. Mr. Steed was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and retired maintenance supervisor for Superior Coach Corporation and a retired home builder. He is survived by his son Gary Steed and his wife Susanne and two grandchildren Amy and Steven Steed all of Ethel, two sisters Ida McCool of Junction City, TN and Sue McCool and her husband Alton of Louisville, MS and one brother Ira Steed of Alamo, TN. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Marie Clark, wife Ellen Steed, sisters Ellen Lowery and Annie Lois Allgood. Pallbearers: Logan Ray, Joey Johnson, Mike Whitman, Josh Watkins, Scott Walters, Donnie Simmons. Honorary Pallbearer: Kiptyn Johnson. Memorials may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
