Thomas E Craft, 89, passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at Baptist-Attala in Kosciusko surrounded by his family. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. with services to follow on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Rev. Barry Corbet will officiate. Thomas graduated from Kosciusko High School in 1949 and Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Business in 1954. He married the love of his life Jane Pender Craft on January 17, 1954 and was married to her for over 66 years at the time of his death. He was a lifelong member of the Kosciusko First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lion's club for over 50 years and a Charter member of The Jaycees. He served as Alderman of Ward Four from 1981-1989 and served on the Kosciusko Water & Light Commission from 1992-2004. He served as Treasurer and Board Member of the Kosciusko Attala-Historical Society. He was known for his passion in preserving Attala County History and his love for the Kosciusko Attala- Historical Society. He was honored in 2016 having a room named The Thomas Craft Room in the Culture Center. Thomas was also known for his love of family, outstanding woodworking, photography, historical work and his love for fishing. He loved pulling for his two favorite teams, Mississippi State and whomever Ole Miss was playing. Survivors include his wife, Jane Pender Craft of Kosciusko; daughters, Mary Tyler (Toby) of Kosciusko, Beth Kyle (Tim) of Kosciusko, and Dianne Alford (Chip) of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Bradley Tyler (Allison), Brent Tyler (Staci), Craft (Lindsey), Emily Logan (Ryan), Chad Kyle (Cortni), Chase Dorsey, (Fiancé, Mary Grace), Kyle Dorsey (Casey), Matthew Alford (Morgan); nine great-grandchildren; nephew, Pat Fiedler (Carol); and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Temple Craft and Mamie Land Craft; and his sister, Joann Fielder. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Bradley Tyler, Brent Tyler, Craft Tyler, Chad Kyle, Chase Dorsey, Kyle Dorsey, Matthew Alford and grandson-in-law, Ryan Logan. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Kosciusko Lion's Club, Kermit Campbell, Joe Mix, Bubba Jackson, Dean Jackson, Joe Doty, Billy Tolleson and Tex Ritter. Memorials may be made to Kosciusko First Baptist Church and the Kosciusko Historical Society.
