Theresa Cook, 85, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Allen Peoples and Rev. Donald Self are officiating the service.
Theresa was born July 26, 1938, in Attala County, Mississippi to Joseph Smithson Wigley and Minnie Lou McBride Wigley. She was a retired registered nurse working in multiple areas of healthcare. Theresa retired after serving patients for 60 years. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church, and Order of the Eastern Star.
Theresa is survived by her daughters, Gail Rawson (Mike Errington) of Arkansas, Lisa Cauthen of Kosciusko, and Cindy Mangrum (Richard) of Heflin, Louisiana; grandchildren, Tonya Kelley, Stephanie Burchfield, and Trent Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Kelley, Emmagail Kelley, Brandon Ellington Hutchison, Gabriel Ferguson, Amelia Burchfield, and Stella Ale Cauthen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Smithson Wigley and Minnie Lou McBride Wigley, husband, Claude R. Cook, sister, Memrose Dean, son, Michael Heffner, daughters, Sandra Hines and Rose Ferguson, grandson, David Allen Ellington and granddaughter, Allissa Shirley.
Serving as pallbearers are Riley Watson, Trent Ferguson, Brandon Ellington Hutchison, Jonathan Cauthen, Chuck Sisson, and Cindy Mangrum. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Paul Ray Ferguson and Greg Kelley.
