Syble Tanksley Sanders Whitten of Ethel passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 12. Visitation is Monday, April 13 from 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are Tuesday, April 14 at 3 p.m. in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Doty Springs Cemetery. Rev. Mark Mayo and Rev. Doyle Mitchell will officiate. She worked in the cafeterias at Greenlee and Ethel schools for 20 years. She continued to work in the food industry until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Whitten; mother, Zulene Gilbert McCool, father, Elra Tanksley, brothers, Travis and J. W. Tanksley. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, David Sanders and wife, Annette; daughter, Dianne Parish and husband, Jerry; brother, Elton Tanksley and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Corey Parish and wife, Priscilla, Chance Parish and John, and Kayla Lee and husband, Corey; great-grandchildren, Easton and Brody Lee, Braxton and Jadon Parish; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers are Corey Parish, Corey Lee, Robert Harold Keen, Jimmy Nunn, Larry Black, and Timmy Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers are George Mitchell, Chance Parish, Allen Massey and Jed Dendy.
