Stella Urel Rasberry Thorpe

Stella U. Thorpe Kosciusko Stella U. Thorpe, 88, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at The Nichols Center in Madison. Visitation is from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday, April 24 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Dr. Joe Cole will officiate. She was a member of the Kosciusko First United Methodist Church. She was a very devout Christian and loved to sing hymns to her Lord and read her Bible. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital for fifteen years. She enjoyed baking and delivering cakes and pies to people and was an avid bird watcher. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda L. (Randy) Quattlebaum of Flora; sons, J. Michael Latham and Frank J. Thorpe, both of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Melanie (Ted) Huddleston, Alicia (Billy) Thrasher, Amy (Jonathan) Parr, and Frankie J. (Ashley) Thorpe; great-grandchildren, Addy and Ivey Huddleston, Wyatt and Alicia Thrasher, Rachel and Jonathan, Jr Parr, and William Colton Thorpe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank R. Thorpe; siblings, Howard Rasberry, James Rasberry, Calvin Rasberry, Joe Rasberry, Julia Gould, Laura Triplett, and Mae Johnson. Pallbearers are Jonathan Parr, James S. Rasberry, Frankie J.
