Sandra Simpson

Sandra Braswell Simpson, 58, of McCool, Mississippi passed away August 21, 2023, at her residence.

Visitation is 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Edgefield Cemetery. Rev. Tony Black and Rev. Curtis Graham will officiate.

Sandra was born June 21, 1965, to Douglas Cleo Braswell and Martha Pauline Black Braswell in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She was the director of the Department of Human Services for 22 years. Sandra was member of Edgefield Baptist Church.

Sandra is survived by her husband Joe Simpson of McCool, Mississippi; son Adam (Melissa) Simpson of McCool, Mississippi; daughter Kimberly (Garrett) Baugh of McCool, Mississippi; grandchildren Addison, Ashton, and Avery Simpson, and Emerysn and Levi Baugh; aunt Deloris Braswell Adams.

She is preceded in death by her parents Douglas Cleo Braswell and Martha Black Braswell, brother-in-law Roger Simpson, and sister-in-law Anne Eubanks.

Serving as pallbearers is Joe Black, Jay Black, Tyler Black, J.J. Black, Ralph “Jr.” Simmons, and Ryan Moyer.
