Sandra Holmes Manning

Mrs. Sandra Holmes Manning, 80, of Madison formerly of Drew, passed away August 9, 2020 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 11th at Sallis Cemetery. Dr. Jay Richardson will officiate. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Manning was a member of Highland Colony Baptist Church. She received her BA at Delta State University. She started her teaching career at Lula Rich, then moving to Drew Elementary and North Sunflower Academy. After retirement from teaching, she was the church secretary at Drew Baptist Church and secretary of the Chamber in Drew, MS. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Michael Manning; son, Dr. Michael (Scarlette) Manning of Ridgeland; daughter, Crama (Marvin) Koury of Flora; brother, Jack Holmes of Kosciusko; sister, Betty Davis of Kosciusko; grandchildren, John, Jake, Ashley and Manning; great grandson, John Michael Manning, IV; a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are parents, Meade Boland and Dorothy Elizabeth Long Holmes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sallis Cemetery Fund - P.O. Box 146 Sallis, MS 39160.
