Sandra Elizabeth Snell Deason

Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth Snell Deason, 69, was born in Mercer, PA. She grew up in Holmes Co, MS. She last resided in Kosciusko. Her eternal home is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She passed away July 2, 2014 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. She fought a brave battle from an extended illness. Visitation was from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Crestview Congregational Methodist Church in Kosciusko. Funeral services were 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church with burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Rev. Jerry Meggs and Rev. Billy Frazure officiated. She was a member of Crestview Congregational Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Curtis Glenn "Buddy" Deason, Sr.; two daughters, Carla Boyles and husband, Danny and Beth Hulett and husband, Bobby; son, Curtis Glenn Deason, Jr., and wife, Lorie; grandchildren, Hayes Hulett, and wife, Alison, Hayden Hulett, Sarah Elizabeth Odom, Lilia Karis Deason; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel Odom, and Noah Odom; four sisters, Marie Sanders, Martha White Truitt, Eva Frazier and husband, George, and Doris Blaylock; brother, James Lester "Bubba" Snell, Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lester and Dorothy Elizabeth Sponberger Snell; and sister, Cathy Virginia Courts. Pallbearers were Jay Battles, Jeff Meggs, Shawn Dawson, Mike Deason, Steve Deason, and Tim Deason. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
