Samuel Jackson "Junior" Mitchell, Jr. Kosciusko Samuel Jackson "Junior" Mitchell, Jr., 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his home in Kosciusko. Visitation is from 10-2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Perry Irvin will officiate. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Mitchell; stepson, Michael Lee Bailey of Greenwood; step-daughter, Jessie Akins of Kosciusko; three grandchildren, Jason Akins, Samuel Akins, and Callie Hughes; and a sister, Geraldine Jennings of McCool. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Jackson Mitchell, Sr. and Mary Bell Cook; one brother, and five sisters.
