Rose Mary Rutherford Edwards White, 84, of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024, at Attala County Nursing Center. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Wake Forest United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Wake Forest United Pentecostal Church, with a burial following at Wake Forest Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Dillon and Bro. Ethan Wade will officiate the services.
Rose was born April 27, 1940, in Sallis, Mississippi, to William Frank Rutherford and Mary Pat Turner Rutherford. She was a homemaker.
Rose is survived by her son, Roger (Debbie) Edwards of Thomastown, Mississippi; daughter, Leticeia (Danny) Mouchett of Hurley, Mississippi; grandchildren, Amber (Ty) Carmeans, Lauren (Kendall) Pace, Thomas (Kristin) Edwards, and Jonathan Edwards; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Rutherford and Mary Pat Rutherford; husbands, James W. Edwards, Jr., and Wesley White; brothers, Earnest Rutherford, Billy F. Rutherford, Sr., Joseph Rutherford, Donald Rutherford, Ronald Rutherford; sisters, Catherine Rutherford and Leslie Sanders.
Serving as pallbearers are Steve Melton, Ty Carmeans, Ralph Simmons, David Wilson, Jake Kidd, and Cole Schexnayder.
