Jessica Rose Jernigan, 67, of Ethel, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Baptist- Attala Hospital in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 31,2024 at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Parkway cemetery. Rev. Gary Glazier is officiating the service.
Rose was born July 19, 1956, in Neshoba, Mississippi to Jessie Lee Spears and Gypsy Ramona Coghlan Spears. She was a homemaker. Rose was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Rose is survived by sons, Timothy (Brittany) Jernigan of Henning, Tennessee, Philip (Courtney) Jernigan of Ethel, Mississippi, and step-son, William (Brandy) Jernigan of Kosciusko, Mississippi; daughter, Cindy (Gary) Robbins of Jackson, Mississippi; brothers, David (Barbara Jean) Spears of Ethel, Mississippi, Ronnie (Shirley) Spears of Pelahatchie, John (Jan) Spears of Ethel, Mississippi and Barry (Mary) Spears ; and sister, Barbara (Kerry) Gregory of Zama, Mississippi; grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Wyatt, Madison (Dale) King, Henrick Jernigan, Kristen Hood, Elric Lawson Jernigan to be born, step-granddaughter, Adley Jernigan; and great-grandchildren, Logan Wyatt, and Azayleeah Wyatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Ramona Spears, husband, Frank Jernigan, Donald Spears, and Ira Lee (Denise) Spears.
Serving as pallbearers are Alex Gregory, Andrew Gregory, Justin Burns, Brandan Self, Jimmy Spears, Katie McHenry, Thomas Moody, II, and Ryan Smith.
Memorials may be sent to ST. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or Shriner’s Burn Center.
