Ritha Overton Moore

Ritha Overton Moore, 72, of French Camp, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., December 1, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. until 10 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at First United Pentecostal Church in Kosciusko. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday. December 2, 2023, at First United Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at French Camp Cemetery. Rev. Shannon Pennington will officiate.


Ritha was born January 9, 1951, to Billie Eugene Overton and Geraldine Neil Overton in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She was a project manager for Yates Construction. Ritha was an active member of First United Pentecostal Church in Kosciusko. She was also a member of French Camp city Council, Vice-president of the Alumni Association of French Camp Academy. Ritha volunteered her time at the Pentecostal campground in Clinton, Mississippi.


Ritha is survived by her sons Michael Davis of French Camp and Chase (Ashley) Ramage of French Camp; daughters Lori Davis (David) Wickens of Florence, Mississippi and Candace Christine Phillips of Jackson, Mississippi; brothers Chris (Rien) Overton of Clarksdale, Terry (Judy) Overton of French Camp, and David (Debbie) Overton of Pope; grandchildren Mason Rowdy Ramage, Madison Rayne Ramage, Caden Allan Ramage, Austin Nathaniel Davis, Abbi Wood Triplett, Javorie Triplett, Alexis Rae Garrad, Ian Garrard, Madeline Davis, Isabella Rose Davis, Macy Davis, Samantha Pierce, Chance (Sara) Pierce, Chandler (Ryan) Estep, Camden Dendy, Candice Phillips, Alexis (Jordan) Wickens-Edwards, Emma Wickens, D.J. Wickens, Zachary (Kayla) Gatlin, and Shelby Taylor Allen; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a large number of other extended family.


She was preceded in death by her parents Billie Eugene Overton and Geraldine Neil Overton.


Serving as pallbearers are Javorie Triplett, Kelcy Nail, Ian Garrard, Doug Smith, Casey Smith, Isreal Lepard, and Luke Smith.
