Randy D. Shields, 74, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center Attala. Visitation is 12 :00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside service is 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell is officiating.
Randy was born July 26, 1949, in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Richard Lafayette Shields and Ora Lee O’Briant Shields. He was the owner and operator for over 40 years of the Attala Oil Company in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Rand was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
Randy is survived by his wife Janice P. Shields of Kosciusko, Mississippi; son Sam (Brianna) Shields of Kosciusko; daughter Becca Shields (Alex) Hayden of Kosciusko, Mississippi; grandsons Jacob Pender Shields and Jack Alexander Hayden; granddaughter of his heart Ella Grace Evans; eleven nieces, two nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Shields and Ora O’Briant Shields; two brothers Bully Shields and Tommy Murphy; and one sister Helen Wasson.
Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Pender, Pender Johnson, Tony Brooks, Curtis Pope, Jonathan Nunn, and Crayton Coleman.
