Philip William Nicholson

Philip William Nicholson, Jr., aged 85, passed away on November 29, 2020 at the Attala County Nursing Home in Kosciusko, MS. Philip was born in Mineola, NY on May 20, 1935. He met and married his wife Sandra Cook Nicholson in North Carolina while serving in the Marine Corps. After a career in banking, Philip became a Presbyterian minister, and eventually settled in French Camp, MS. There he served as a dorm parent at French Camp Academy, as a pastor at Huntsville Presbyterian church, and as a French Camp town alderman. Philip is survived by his son Richard Clark Nicholson, daughter-in-law Allison, and grandchildren Charlotte and Luke, who all reside in Coral Springs, FL. Philip will be laid to rest in French Camp, next to his beloved wife, Sandra. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a service and celebration of Philip’s life will be held at a later date. Friends and family will be notified when a date and time is set. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in Philip’s name.
