Pennie Shea Burkes

Pennie Shea Burkes, 56, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, surrounded by family after a day of fun and laughter. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am from the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Carson Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell will officiate the services.
Pennie was a member of the Carson Ridge Baptist Church. She lived at the Choctaw County Nursing and Rehab for the past six years. While living there the employees gave her excellent care and the residents treated her like family.
Pennie was survived by her aunt, Pam Braswell of Ethel, MS., and many cousins. She has been preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Linda Kay Bain Burkes.
Those serving as pallbearers are Randy Clark, Roger Clark, Ennis Burkes, Chance Braswell, David Sanders, Clarence McDaniel, and David Odom.
