Paul Williamson, Jr.

Rev. Paul Williamson, Jr., 94, of Kosciusko, MS passed away June 20, 2021 at his residence. Graveside Service will be Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Line Cemetery in Jones County. Rev. Paul Williamson was born in McGee, MS February 26, 1927 and was raised in Soso. He is a graduate of Soso High School, attended Jones County Jr. College, Bob Jones University and NOLA Baptist Seminary with B.A. and Master Divinty degree. He served with churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, and Florida. His first Pastorate was in Jackson County 1952. After retiring as Director of Missions for the Attala Baptist Association in 1992, he served as interim pastor for a number of area churches. The last church he pastored was at First Baptist Church in Monticello, Florida. While serving the Richland Baptist Church in Rankin county from 1969-1979 the church enjoyed rapid growth and development. He is survived by his wife Mary Williamson ; Two Sons John and James Williamson; two daughters Shirley Hill and Debra Torres.
