Paul Edward Mink

June 13, 1923 — April 25, 2014

Paul Edward Mink, MD, 90, a retired family physician, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is Monday, April 28, 2014 from 12-2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Kosciusko with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. and burial in the Parkway Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dr. Don Patterson will officiate the service. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Kosciusko. He was a founding member of E. L. Therrell Sunday school class and one of the first teachers of the class. He was a founding partner of Attala Medical Clinic of Kosciusko. For around ten years after his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling the country in their RV. He also enjoyed gardening and planting pecan trees. He was a veteran of World War II serving as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Mink; sons, Paul E. Mink, Jr. and wife, Rhonda of McCool and Phillip David Mink and wife, Ann of Newark, DE; daughter, Amy Millicent Mink Burge and husband, John of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Rachel Mink, Alex Mink, Brittany Overstreet, Mary Claire Burge, Bonnie Burge, Taylor Casey, and Jason Casey; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his parents, L. V. and Lois Bostick Mink and his brother, Edwin Mink.. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
