Patsy Burrell Sanders

Mrs. Patsy Burrell Sanders, 78, of Sallis, MS passed away Wednesday, November

23, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko. Visitation will be from 10

AM until 11 AM Friday, November 25, 2022, at Jordon Funeral Home. Funeral

service will follow at 11 in the Chapel. A graveside service will be held at

Hepzibah Cemetary in Oak Vale in Lawrence County at 3:30 PM.

Patsy was born October 28, 1944, to Sam Patterson Burrell and “Polly” Randolph

Burrell. She attended Homes Jr College and worked in Jackson until she married

George Sanders. They lived in LaPlace, LA, where she worked as administrative

assistant until the birth of her children. Later in life she worked in Columbia City

Hall until retirement.

Patsy is survived by her son Greg (Chasity) Sanders; daughter Nicole (Matt) Carney of

Columbia. Grandchildren Landon Sanders, Sam and Nik Carney, and Addison and

Skylar Boyd; brother Fred (Faye) Burrell, sister Beverly Armstrong, Nell Branch

and Julia (Bob) Vance; 7 nieces & nephews; 14 great nieces & nephews; 5 great

great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Sam Burrell and

Polly Randolph Burrell; first husband and father of her children George Sanders;

and second husband Hall Sanders.

Patsy enjoyed watching her grandsons play baseball and traveling in the travel

trailer. During retirement she traveled across the US and even to Alaska.

Pallbearers: Landon Sanders, Sam Carney, Nik Carney, Jay Branch, Rob Rocco

and Ashton Armstrong.
