Patricia Proctor

Patricia, affectionally known as Miss Pat, Aunt Pat, and momma, was considered an angel in her community, providing through compassion care for countless others. She held firmly that all were created equal, all deserved love and that all were important. Her commitment often confused others. She followed a legacy of love adopted from her family that to her ending days shone brightly.

Patricia was born in Drew, Mississippi on February 4, 1946, to Victor and Grace Roark. Her surviving siblings are brothers Joe, Ralph, and James Roark; sisters Wilsye Grammar, and Linda Sheldon.

Patricia was loving mother to sons David, Tracy, Michael, and Victor Proctor, and daughters Jeanne Proctor, and Grace McCarty. She was a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who referred to her as Mima. She was also a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She had a love of sewing, gardening, history, cooking, and sharing the love of God with so many.

A memorial service will be warmly hosted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Ethel Baptist Church, which she was dedicated to and whom she taught everyone from youngest to the oldest. May her legacy live on in all of us and she wishes that everyone rejoices in her passing.
