Orene Ward Love

Mary Orene Ward Love was born in French Camp, MS on July 26, 1924 to Jim and Hattie Simpson Ward. She passed from this life on July 2, 2014 at her residence in French Camp. She married Harold F. Love on June 14, 1944. They were married until Harold's death on July 30, 2006. Mrs. Love was an active member of French Camp Baptist Church, where she served as Secretary/Treasurer for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, seamstress, and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Love; parents, Jim and Hattie Ward; sister, Helene Ward; and brothers, Jarvis and Thomas Ward. Those left to remember her with love include daughters, Patsy (Roy) Hawkins of French Camp, Olene Hughes of French Camp, and Jerene (Mike) Parker of Ackerman; grandchildren, Jenny (Jim) Wood, Rebecca (Ron) Graham, Suzanna (Van) Tharp, Jody (Julie) Hawkins, Daniel (Meg) Harris, Michaela Parker, and Michelle Parker; great-grandchildren, Kallie Stovall, Aaron Stovall, Halea Wood, Hayes Wood, Brittany Graham, Brett Graham, Brian Graham, Meglet Hudson, Sadie Kate Wood, and McKenna Hawkins; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Ward, Eloise Ward, and Ruby Love; aunt, Ruth Bright; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. We are so grateful for her caregivers who served so faithfully, Annette, Tanya and Sheria. Pallbearers are Jody Hawkins, Daniel Harris, Jim Wood, Ron Graham, Van Tharp, Claude Taylor, Jim Ward, and Steve Ward. Visitation will be Friday, July 4, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 2-3 p.m. at French Camp Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. with burial in the French Camp Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rev. Randy Bridges and Rev. Roy Hawkins will officiate.
