Mary Sills Hodges

Mrs. Mary Sills Hodges age 89, passed this life on Friday, November 17, 2023, at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will 11:00 am Monday, November 20, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel, Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday, November 20, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Jerusalem Cemetery.  Rev. Wayne Hudson will officiate the services.

Mary was an active member of Jerusalem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years, sang in the choir, and taught Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Hodges was a factory worker at Garan until its closure and then worked as Activities Director at Atwood Personal Care Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Sills Bishop of Kosciusko, MS; two grandchildren, Morgan Bishop (Matt) Mahan and Jason Bishop, and two great-grandchildren, Brody and Brennan Mahan.

She was preceded in death both of her husbands, Bud Sills and Joe Hodges; one son, Gene Sills and son-in-law, Willie Bishop.
