Mary N. Gilbert
September 24, 1927 — November 23, 2022
Mary N. Gilbert, 95, of the Carmack community, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at the Attala County Nursing Center in Kosciusko. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, and from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Hebron Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm. Sunday at the church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Leach will officiate the services.
Mrs. Gilbert was born in Cleveland, Mississippi on September 24, 1927, she was a retired merchant and cattle farmer. She was also the owner of Blue and Gold Grocery Store, and has been a member of Hebron Baptist Church since 1972.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy W. (Betty) Norrell of Brandon, MS., and Billy (Lori) Norrell of Canton, MS; sisters, Helen Linville, Vivian Mullins, and Hazel Bennett; grandchildren Tracy Norrell Brooks, Christy Norrell, Sandy Sweet, and Amy Sipes; step-grandchildren Daniel Tuggle, Sean Pruett, Brendon Pruett, and Christian Pruett; great-grandchildren, Mason Brooks, and Sydney Sweet.
Her husband, Thomas Norrell, and son, Paul A. Norrell, preceded her in death.
