Mary Katherine Parkinson

Katherine Parkinson, 96, passed away on May 8, 2022. She was born in Sallis, Mississippi on December 17, 1925, to William Madison Culpepper and Lily Earl Aldy Culpepper. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Kosciusko. She was preceded in her death by her father and mother, and husbands, James “Jack” Edward Hughes and J.T. Parkinson; infant son, James Edward Hughes, Jr.; sister, Lucille Swilley (Wilford H.); brothers, Joe Edward Culpepper (Marie), James Lamar Culpepper (Annie Ruth), and William Earl Culpepper. Mary Katherine is survived by her daughter, Jackie Hughes Hart (Ewell) of Ridgeland, MS; grandson, James “Jamie” Ewell Hart (Beth); great-granddaughter, Madison Hart; great-grandson, Wade Hart all of Nashville, TN; sister, Brenda Culpepper England (Charles) of Kosciusko, MS; sister-in-law, Nadine M. Culpepper of Sallis, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at City Cemetery in Kosciusko. The family would like to thank Atwood Personal Care Home for the care they provided.
