Mary Jones Kirkpatrick

Mary Jones Kirkpatrick, 86, died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at her residence in the Berea Community following an illness. Visitation will be held Friday, 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Berea Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Charlie Long and Rev. Tony Black. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, a native of Monroe County, was a member of Berea Baptist Church, active until ill health. She was employed for several years at Globe-Weis in Kosciusko and in recent years as a seamstress at Traditions and Trends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Kirkpatrick; parents, Basil Lester and Claudie Lee McClelland Jones; a brother, Basil Jones Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Jeannine (David) Smith of Artesia, Jo Ann Kirkpatrick of McCool; two sons, Joel Kirkpatrick of Houston, Texas, and Jeff Kirkpatrick of Kosciusko; a sister-in-law, Nancy Green of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Mariah (Bo) Morgan, Kerry Smith, Kathleen Kirkpatrick, Wade (Whitney) Armstrong, Daniel (Danette) Armstrong, Lacy (Chad) Dodd; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to French Camp Academy.
