Marvin Charles Plunkett, 94, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away August 17, 2023, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Kosciusko. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 18, 2023, and 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel. Private burial at Parkway Cemetery on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Dr. Todd Plunkett and Rev. Mark Parnell will officiate.
Marvin was born October 17, 1928, to Henry Dixon Plunkett and Ellie Mae Todd Plunkett in Mississippi. He was an engineer. Marvin was a member of Kosciusko First Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class. Prior to joining First Baptist Church, he was a long- time member of Williamsville Baptist Church.
Marvin is survived by sons David (JoAnn) Plunkett of Water Valley, Mississippi, and Danny (Anne) Plunkett of Kosciusko, Mississippi; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Plunkett and Ellie Mae Plunkett; son Jerry Plunkett; and wife Sarah Lyndol Goss Plunkett.
