Martha Mcknight

July 2, 1932 — March 22, 2024

Martha McKnight, 91, of Kosciusko, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family and caregivers. Visitation is from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, March 24, 2024, and from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Monday, March 25, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Rev. Art Land and Rev. Don Cook will officiate the services.


Martha was a longtime active member of Parkway Baptist Church, where she was on various committees. She worked for 15 years at the Attala Baptist Association and was a bookkeeper at the Attala Company. In her spare time, she loved watching the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs play baseball, sewing, and camping.


She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Gwen) McKnight of Gluckstadt, MS; Kevin (Ellen) McKnight of Brandon, MS; three grandchildren, Brock (Beverly) McKnight of Meridian, MS;

Michael (Meghan) McKnight of Selmer, TN; Henry (Hannah Grace) McKnight of Brandon, MS; four great-grandchildren, James William Curtis McKnight, John Parker McKnight, Eisley Elizabeth Grace McKnight, and Annie Mae McKnight; one brother, Ray Featherston of Cosby, TN; two sisters, Dorothy Douglas of Highland, IN and Patsy Barr of Kosciusko, MS. A host of nieces and nephews also survive her. The family is grateful to her caregivers, Effie Davis and Ida Riley.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer Featherston and Dessie Wright Featherston; her husband of 61 years, Bill McKnight; one brother, William Glenn “Buck” Featherston; two sisters, Elizabeth Hilliard and Ludie Wilson.


Memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church or French Camp Academy.
