Margaret Ann Harlow Self McCool Margaret Ann Harlow Self, 75, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her home. Visitation is from 12-3 p.m. Sunday, September 17 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Bowie Chapel Independent Methodist Church Cemetery in McCool. Rev. Johnny Watkins and Rev. Tommy Bentley will officiate. She was a member of Bowie Chapel Independent Methodist Church, where she played the organ for many years. She was a teacher and taught at French Camp Academy, Leland High School, Duck Hill High School, and Ethel High School. She was an avid outdoorsman, where she loved deer hunting and crappie fishing. Her favorite place to fish was Grenada Lake and the Ross Barnett Reservoir. She loved working in her flower beds and loved playing cards with her family. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Clyde Self of McCool; daughter, Cherie Van-Auken of Maryville, TN; granddaughter, Emily Van-Auken; brothers, Gene Harlow of Grenada and Eddie Harlow of Brandon; sister, Linda Martin and husband, Bill of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Dendy Harlow. Online condolences can be made at jordanfuneralhome.com.
