Lola W. Jones McCool Lola Woods "Granny" Jones, 92, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday, December 8 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell and Rev. Johnny Halderman will officiate the chapel service and Rev. Tony Black will officiate at the graveside. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. She loved to sew, cook, and take care of the grandchildren. Her family was her life. Survivors include her son, Bob (Ruby) Jones of McCool; daughter, Tene J. McQuirter and very devoted family friend, Jimmy Utz, both of Kosciusko; seven grandchildren, Hollie Steele, Benjamin Frank Halderman, Riley Glynn "Bo" Jones; Amanda Gail Jones, Sandra Jones, Charlie Jones, and Shelby R. Jones; five great-grandchildren, Michael "Tye" Steele, Emily Fletcher Steele, Kelley Jo Halderman, Coraline Belle Jones, Jasper Ray Jones; nieces, Delorise Adams, Bessie Ruth Brown, Mary H. Dees, and a host of other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel Ray Jones; daughter, Brenda Halderman; son, Travis Jones; and parents, Jasper and Annie Watkins Woods. Pallbearers are Charlie Ray Jones, Michael "Tye" Steele, Larry Black, Ken Wilkerson, Timothy "Bubba" Strahan, and Philip Jernigan. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Steen, Jimmy Utz, Charlie Earl Hopkins, and Roy Moore. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences can be made at jordanfuneralhome.com.
