Lois Russom

Lois Russom, 96, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away July 5, 2023, at Baptist-Attala Hospital. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral service is 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church with burial to follow Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Rev. Lynn Cain and Rev. Tommy Allen will officiate.

Lois was born December 19, 1926, to Joseph Brown Newbern and Annie Belle Conrad Newbern in Malone, Florida. She was the oldest of six children. Lois and Theron had 64 years of a wonderful marriage. Lois was a lifelong member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, and of the Quilting Club at Marvin Chapel.

Lois was survived by daughters Wanda Faye McLemore, Ann (Wayland) Philley, and Ginny Myers; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Brown Newbern and Annie Belle Conrad Newbern; her husband of 64 years of marriage Theron Russom; and five brothers.

Serving as pallbearers is Matthew Philley, Kevin Mouring, Cameron Farmer, Jacob Simmons, Talon Beauchamp, Robby Farmer,  Ryan Burrell, and Gauage Brantley.
