Lena Elkin Craft Kosciusko On Sunday, May 29, 2016, Lena Elkin Craft entered the gates of her eternal home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born Lena Belle Elkin on August 26, 1927 in Horton, Kansas. Her first years were spent on a Kickapoo Indian Reservation, where her parents were school teachers. Lena was wife, mother, homemaker, secretary, counselor, helpmate, Sunday school teacher, member of a homemaker club, member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, a member of the DAR and many other jobs, titles and responsibilities through the years most of which did not have a monetary compensation attached. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jones Craft, and her parents, Franklin Andrew Elkin and Mollie Thompson Elkin, as well as, her brothers Clarence Elkin, Ennis Elkin, Paul Elkin, Shelby Elkin, Brudge Elkin, and her only sister, Mary Frances Elkin Davis. She is survived by her children, John Craft (Kim) of Jacksonville FL; Frances Graham (Grady) of Starkville MS; Sara Koenig (Rick) of Cypress TX; Dave Craft (Julie) of Wimberley TX and Durango CO. Lena (Granny) is survived by the following grandchildren: Robin Ford (Tony) of Cypress TX; Jason Graham of Franklin TN and Kylie Craft of Wimberley TX and Durango CO. In addition, she has two precious great granddaughters who were the apple of her eye. The arrangements include visitation on Thursday, June 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and Friday morning, June 3, from 10:00 to 11:00 with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 in the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home and burial in Parkway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to French Camp Academy or the Kosciusko First Presbyterian Church.
