Lawrence Clark Profile Photo

Lawrence "LC" Clark, 72, stepped through Heaven’s doors on March 3, 2025, at his home in French Camp, Mississippi. Born on May 2, 1952, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, he lived a life marked by faith, family, and dedication.

A graduate of French Camp Academy, Lawrence built a diverse and accomplished career. He worked at Ackerman Steel Mill before excelling as a business manager with TMA Forestry Products. From 1994 to 2006, he successfully operated Clark’s Tech Tire Repair Sales. Known for his resourcefulness and strong work ethic, he approached every endeavor with determination.

A man of deep Christian faith, Lawrence was a devoted member of Bethsaida Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He also served as a lay speaker for local congregations. Lawrence found great joy in sharing the Gospel and offering words of encouragement to those around him. His wisdom and humor made him a well-respected figure in both his church and community.

Lawrence cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Peggy Sanders Clark; daughters Lacye (Terry) Fancher, Cindy (John) Staszefski, and Kimberly Clark-Bell; grandchildren Lakelynn and Brennan Fancher, Mikayla (Christian) Whitman, Savannah and Jenna Staszefski, Brent, Lilly, Cohen, and Sylvie Bell; sister Martha (Ed) Henrickson; and brother Eddie (Tracey) Clark and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Hazel Clark; in-laws Louie and Sylvia Ferrell Sanders; brothers David and Tommy Glen Clark; and sister, Alice McMinn.

In his younger days, Lawrence enjoyed the sport of deer hunting, a hobby that helped provide meat for many families. He had a passion for Western movies—especially *Gunsmoke* with Matt Dillon—and loved reading Louis L’Amour books. A devoted Ole Miss fan in a family of Mississippi State supporters, he never backed down from friendly rivalry banter.

Visitation service will be held at Bethsaida Baptist Church on March 5, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on March 6, 2025, at Bethsaida Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation hours will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Lawrence leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, hard work, and laughter. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
