Larry Milner

Larry Milner, 66, passed on June 1, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 at Jordan Funeral Home, in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church in McCool, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Doyle Mitchell and Rev. Barry Corbett will officiate. Mr. Milner was born June 16, 1947 to J.D. and Mary Helen Milner. He retired after 29 years as a postal carrier for McCool and Sallis, taught in Memphis, TN, Ethel, and ABE in Kosciusko, and he was the former chief of the McCool Fire Department. He was currently employed with Jordan Funeral Home and a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. Those surviving him are his wife, Diane Bennett Milner; a daughter Megan (Randy) Hubbard; his mother, Mary Helen; a sister, Rhonda (Joe) Black, all of McCool; three grandchildren and a grandson due in October; a niece, Kirsten, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, J. D. Milner. Pallbearers are Marty Bennett, Shane Black, Jamie Fair, Jimmy Gann, Danny Kimbrough, and Larry Wheeless. Honorary pallbearers are Kelly Black, Bill Gordon, Perry Kimbrough, Morris Massey, David McCrory, Bobby McKnight, Bill McNeill, and Jimmy Pruitt and Rex Wooley. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Center in Memphis, TN.
