Larry Herbert King passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on November 9th, 2020. Larry was born on January 6th, 1947, in Kosciusko, MS to Ida Maude Black King and Herbert Cannon King. He was the eldest of 3 children. Larry spent the majority of his childhood in Kosciusko and graduated from Kosciusko High School in 1965, where he made many memories playing football. Larry married Barbara Ann Threet on December 15, 1973. He worked in sales most of his life and during that time was blessed to be able to travel the country with his family. Larry's favorite hobby was bass fishing, and he was always proud to show off his catch. He made countless memories with his brother, cousins, and friends while fishing and especially enjoyed his time on the Country Club Lake in Kosciusko. Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his brother, Doug King (Nancy) of Kosciusko and his sister, Barbara King Galligan (Mike) of San Antonio, TX. Larry leaves behind his wife of nearly 47 years, Barbara, and 3 loving daughters, Allison Bell (Grant), Natalie Ivey (Shane), and Lauren Lawrence (Ryan). He is survived by 12 grandchildren, Greyson, Ava, and Sophie Bell; Madelyn, Murphy, Brooks, and Anna Lauren Ivey; Sam, Chap, & Knox Thompson; Wells and McCoy Lawrence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21st, at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Rev. Barry Corbett of Kosciusko First Baptist Church and Rev James Elkin, cousin of the deceased, will conduct the services. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements will be provided by Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko, MS
