Kayron "Kay" Gentry

August 16, 1943 — June 1, 2024

Kayron “Kay” Gentry, 80, of Ethel, Mississippi passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Attala County Nursing Center. Visitation is 12:00 p.m. until 2 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home.

Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Bethlehem Cemetery. Rev. Kenny Gentry is officiating the service.


Kayron was born August 16, 1943, in Neshoba County to George Winford Myers and Hilda Jeanette Bennett. She retired from Cato’s as a sales representative. Kay was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.


Kay is survived by her husband Bobby Mack Gentry of Ethel, Mississippi; son, Robert (Amanda) Gentry of Kosciusko, Mississippi; daughter, Jackie (Hayward) Walters of Ethel, Mississippi; brother, Bob Myers; sisters, Gay Fedrick, Sara Myers, and Tammy Peeler; grandchildren, Buster Gentry, Jana Gentry, Kayron Biggart, Dylan Gentry, and Devin Gentry; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her parents, George Myers and Hilda Bennett Myers; son, Ronnie; and sisters, Debbie Davis, and Genoise  Manning.


Serving as pallbearers are the grandsons, Dylan Gentry, Devin Gentry, Brayden Hutchison, Myers Gentry, Will Biggart, and Buster Gentry.
