Kathy Pettit, 62, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at her home. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Jerusalem Cemetery. Rev. Chris O'Daniel will officiate. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church. She attended Zama Baptist Church. She was the manager at the Tobacco Superstore for ten years and then worked in housekeeping at the Attala County Nursing Center in Kosciusko. Survivors include daughter, Sherry Lee (Scott) Cortez of Ethel; sons, Kenneth Summerlin and Frank Summerlin, both of Florence, MS; grandchildren, Chris (Christen) O'Daniel and Scottie Cortez; great-grandson, William Clyde O'Daniel; brother, Lamar (Diane) Pettit of Kosciusko; and sisters, Elaine (Keith) Salers of Singleton and Bonnie Breazeale of Zama. She was preceded in death by two children, Kathy Jo Lee and George William Lee, Jr.; and her parents, Clyde Lamar and Rosie Lee Mitchell Pettit. Memorials may be sent to the Zama Baptist Church.
