Kathryn Black

Kathryn Black, of Haughton, Louisiana formerly of French Camp, Mississippi passed away February 5 at Carpenter House Hospice in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation is 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside service is 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023, at French Camp Cemetery. Rev. William Bouchillon is officiating.

Kathryn was born to Jim Sullivan Moss and Velma Hubbert Moss in Berea Community in McCool, Mississippi. She went to school in French Camp and graduated from French Camp Academy. Kathryn married James Loyd Black December 28, 1957, at the French Camp Presbyterian Church. They were married for 65 years. She was a homemaker.

Kathryn is survived by her husband of 65 years James Loyd Black of Haughton, Louisiana; brothers-in-law J. W. (Wilma)Black and Billy (Geraldine)Black; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim Sullivan Moss and Velma Hubbert Moss; sisters Wilma Moss Ryder and Beverly Moss Brunt.
