Joyce Earnestine Pinkard Curtis, 79, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at home. Visitation is Saturday, January 18 from 10-2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. in Jordan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Smyrna Cemetery. Rev. Ralph Hunt will officiate. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Slidell, LA. She is survived by her son, Eddie Curtis of Slidell; daughter, Pamela Curtis of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Jeremy Curtis of Louisville, KY, James Curtis of Murfreesboro, and Daniel Curtis of Slidell; great-grandchildren, Preston Curtis, Neely Curtis, and Weston Curtis; brothers, Charles (Joyce) Pinkard of Ethel and Bobby (Judy) Pinkard of Kosciusko; and sister, Bernice McGiney of Weir, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Sally Rigby Pinkard; husband, Edmond Curtis; and daughter, Patricia Curtis. Pallbearers are Jeremy Curtis, James Curtis, Tim Pinkard, Joey Pinkard, Paul Merchant, and Jimmy Kyle.
