John James Carter

John James Carter, 89, died September 28, 2014 at his home. Visitation is Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 6-9 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Meggs will officiate. He served his country in the United States Air Force as military police and was a POW in Germany for three months. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Carter of Kosciusko; daughters, Joann (Scott) Perry and Penny Sanders of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Joey Odom, Jason Odom, Jessicca Ashcraft, Jeremy Odom, and Archie Wooten; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Reginald and Rosella Davis Carter. Pallbearers are Jason Odom, Jeremy Odom, Joey Odom, Archie Wooten, Paul Deason, and Jan Deason. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
