Joe A. May, 84, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2021 at his residence in Kosciusko. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00 in the Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko. Bro. Luke Comfort and Rev. Donald Self will officiate. Joe was a member of the Kosciusko First Baptist Church since 1959. He was also a member of the Stonestreet-Rone V.F.W. in Kosciusko. He worked for Spot Cash tire for 15 years and was self-employed in the tire business for 10 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army and enjoyed working his cattle. Joe is survived by his son, Mike May of Kosciusko, MS; daughter, Sherry May Comfort, and her husband, David of Madison, MS; two brothers, Bill May of Hattiesburg, MS and George May of Meridian, MS; five grandchildren, Summer (Ben) Frazier, Cody May, Stephen May, Zach (Hannah Kate) Comfort, and Luke Comfort; four great-grandchildren, Brylee May, Taylon May, Kyler May, and Eli Frazier; a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hathcock May; parents, Josephus and Olivia Miller May; and two sisters, Maudell Green and Genie Beck. For online condolences visit jordanfuneralhome.com
