Jimmy Moss, 70, of Kosciusko, Mississippi passed away October 8, 2023, at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation is 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Jordan Funeral Home. Graveside service is at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Nile Church of Christ Cemetery. Rev. Les Ferguson will officiate.
Jimmy was born March 22, 1953, in Attala County, Mississippi to Arthur Doyle Moss and Elizabeth Leggett Moss. He worked in construction welding. Jimmy was a member of Nile Church of Christ and Huntington Street Church of Christ.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Betty Moss of Kosciusko, Mississippi; special nieces and nephews; stepchildren Charles R. Cook, Debbie Elizabeth Ainsworth, and Ricky Thomas Cook all of Louisiana; brothers Arthur (Kathy) Moss of Pineville, Mississippi, James “Dinky” (Gayla) Moss of Kosciusko, Mississippi, and Jackie (Patsy) Moss of Nesbit, Mississippi; sisters Shirley Manseill of Kosciusko, Mississippi and Reba Cagle of Kosciusko, Mississippi; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Moss and Elizabeth Leggett Moss; brothers-in-law Wimpy Cagle and Douglas Manseill; two nephews, Tim Moss and Steven Moss.
Serving as pallbearers are Vinnie Sanders, Denny Booth, Donny Andrews, Brad Tubby, Jake Newsom, Jamie Moss, and Khristopher Moss. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Doug Manseill, Keith Manseill, Willie Tubby, Tim Moss, and Larry Newsom.
