Jimmie Minshew

Jimmie Minshew, 83, of the Dossville community in Leake County, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at his daughter’s residence. There are no services currently planned. 

Jimmie was born December 27, 1940, to Allen Donald Minshew, Sr., and Nell Pauline Jones Minshew in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He retired from construction and was a jack of all trades. Jimmie was a member of Singleton United Methodist Church. 

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Pearlie Minshew, of the Dossville community, Mississippi; sons, Jimmie (Janice) Minshew, Jr. of Amory, Mississippi, and Jeff (Amanda) Minshew of Picayune, Mississippi; daughters, Terri Steele of Kosciusko, Mississippi and Courtney (Brad) Tubby of West, Mississippi; brothers, Allen Minshew, Jr. of Leake County, Mississippi, Craig Minshew of Leake County, Mississippi, Bobby Minshew of Nebraska, and Cecil Tittle of Monroe, Louisiana; sister, Brenda Carpenter of Leake County; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Donald Minshew, Sr. and Nell Jones Minshew; sisters, Sharon Robertson and Susie Foster; brothers; Dayton Minshew, Jerome Minshew, L.C. Tittle; grandson, Brian Monroe Steele, and son-in-law, Dale Steele
